I’m Melda Torrefranca Acabodillo — a wedding and fine-art portrait photographer based in Vancouver, BC.
I’m also a teacher, a wife, and a proud mom of two girls who inspire me every day.
For over 15 years, I’ve photographed couples, families, and celebrations with a deep passion for beauty, emotion, and storytelling. Whether it’s a wedding day, a quiet family moment, or a milestone you want to remember, I approach every session with warmth and intention.
Photography is more than my profession — it’s my way of preserving love and life’s fleeting moments.
Behind the camera, I’m a wife to Joseph and mom to our two daughters, Allinah and Janiyah.
They are the heart of my world and the reason I treasure family moments so much.

My journey began in 2006 with a simple love for creativity and capturing meaningful moments. When my first daughter was born, photography became even more important — I wanted to document every stage of her life.
Since then, I’ve learned that everyone wants to hold onto their memories. Being trusted to capture those moments is an honour I deeply value.
I thank God for guiding my path and allowing me to serve families and couples through this craft.
From the moment we connect, my aim is to make you feel relaxed and cared for. I guide you naturally, support you through the planning, and bring an uplifting energy to your session.
I pay close attention to the little details — the emotions, gestures, and meaningful moments that tell the full story of your love and your life.
Nothing is too small. Everything matters.

Meet Your assistant photographer, joseph
Joseph has been my right hand in photography since the day I started. From helping set up lighting and props to assisting during weddings and busy sessions, he’s always by my side making sure everything flows beautifully.
His career as a welder — designing and installing stunning staircases for high-end homes — reflects his natural creativity and attention to detail. That same artistic ability helps bring my vision to life during every shoot.
Joseph is loving, kind, hardworking, and incredibly supportive. I’m grateful to have him not only as my husband, but as a creative partner who strengthens every part of Monreve Photography.

Monreve Studio is a fine-art photography space created with intention — blending planning, styling, and portrait photography under one roof.
The studio houses curated backdrops, newborn and milestone props, maternity wardrobe pieces, artisan accessories, and soft natural lighting for refined, timeless images.
Clients also receive access to styling guidance, decor rentals, and beautifully crafted print products designed for your home.
Soon, the Monreve Studio Shop will feature custom prints, party décor, creative accessories, and more — all crafted with the same artistry and care you experience during your session.
