Newborn photography is an unregulated industry, meaning anyone can call themselves a “professional” without specialised newborn training.
Without proper experience, a photographer may not understand how to safely handle, support, or pose a newborn — which can place your baby at risk during a session.

All newborn sessions take place in my purpose-built home studio located in Marpole, Vancouver, BC.
The studio is warm, clean, and thoughtfully prepared specifically for newborn photography.

Where Is Your Studio Located?


The ideal time for newborn photography is when your baby is 5–21 days old.
I strongly recommend booking reminders during pregnancy once you know your due date. I accept a limited number of newborn sessions each month to allow flexibility for early or late arrivals.
Sessions are held Tuesday to Saturday, between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM

What Is the Best Age for Newborn Photography?

No. I do not offer in-home or on-location newborn sessions.
All newborn photography takes place in my studio where lighting, temperature, cleanliness, and safety are fully controlled.

Can We Have Our Session at Our Home?


Newborn sessions are always baby-led.
I aim to create as many setups as your baby comfortably allows, prioritising safety and comfort over quantity.

How Many Setups or Poses Are Included?

Yes. After booking, you’ll receive a Newborn Questionnaire & Preparation Guide, where you can:
  • Choose preferred colours
  • Note colours you’d like to avoid
  • Share 4–6 inspiration images

Can I Choose Colours, Setups, or Poses?

Newborn images are photographed first, followed by sibling and family photos.
For best results:
  • Mum and baby arrive first
  • Another adult takes siblings for a short break
  • Siblings return later for their photos

Why Book With MonREve Photography?

No. The studio is fully stocked with curated wraps, outfits, props, and accessories. Personal items are welcome but optional.

Do I Need to Bring Outfits or Props?

Yes. Parent and sibling images are encouraged and available with the appropriate package. Sessions are limited to immediate family only.

Can Parents and Siblings Be Included?

Hair and makeup are not included and should be arranged prior to your session.
Recommendations can be provided upon request.

Do You Provide Hair and Makeup?

Yes. A non-refundable $50 booking fee is required to secure your session date.
The remaining balance is due on the day of your session.

Is a Deposit Required?

  • Proofing gallery: 7–10 days
  • Final edited images: 7–14 days
Images are delivered high-resolution and watermark-free. RAW files are not provided.

If this is your first newborn photography experience, please know that no preparation needs to be perfect. Your role is simply to arrive, relax, and enjoy this special moment with your baby. Everything else is thoughtfully taken care of.
